Connect TRUE, choose what gets certified, and map your data.
Connect your TRUE account once. You will be sent to TRUE to log in and approve, then bounced back here. The app fetches your API credentials automatically, so you never type a token, username, or password.
Connect to TRUEDon't have a TRUE account yet? Contact sales → to get set up, then come back and connect.
Which products get a certificate. Pick how to match, then tick one or more values from your store — the tags, product types, and collections are loaded from Shopify, so you never type or guess them. A line item certifies if it matches any ticked value.
How long each certificate stays valid. Counted from the issue date.
Pick the TRUE design to issue. The list is loaded from your TRUE account, so save your credentials and Test Connection first. Choosing a design loads its fields below.
Issue one real certificate with sample data to an email you choose — no order needed. Uses your saved TRUE credentials and the design selected above, so Save first. Turn on Sandbox / test mode in the TRUE Connection section if you don't want to create a live certificate.
Each row is a field on the chosen design. Map it from a Shopify data source — you never type the TRUE field name. When you pick a design, the app matches each field to your Shopify product/variant metafields and line-item properties by name and auto-fills a suggestion (badged suggested); review, change, or clear it, then Save to confirm. Nothing is saved until you Save, and your existing mappings are never overwritten. Source key format for metafields: namespace.key. For order_field, the supported keys are: email, name, id, createdAt, processedAt, updatedAt. For static, the source key is the literal value. Leave a row's source blank to skip that field. Use Preview to see what each mapping resolves to.
See what these mappings produce against your most recent order. Save first to preview saved mappings. Nothing is issued.
Which email address each certificate is delivered to.
TRUE needs a recipient name to issue. When an order has no name (guest checkout), this is used so the certificate still issues — the recipient can replace it via TRUE's “confirm your information” email. Leave blank to instead skip nameless orders.
How and where the buyer receives their certificate.
On-page display also needs the “TRUE Original” block added once in Shopify's checkout & customer-account editor.
